Fields of application

In chemistry the SPECORD^® PLUS is used for qualitative and quantitative analyses in the field of quality control, e.g.:

• purity checks,
• identification of pure substances, 
• differentiation of saturated compounds,
• differentiation of keto and enol form,
• identification of carbonyl bands,
• explanation of binding conditions and the influence of substituents,
• determination of the refraction index and the layer thickness of materials,
• determination of color coordinates or the white yellow index

In pharmacy the SPECORD^® PLUS is applied in most diverse fields of application as there are Research and Development, material analysis, production and quality control, e.g.:

• purity control of active ingredients,
  
• dissolution tests,
  
• test of bio availability,
  
• screening for active ingredients

The SPECORD^® PLUS is used in water and waste water analysis. Moreover it is applicable for the determination of soil and air.
E.g. quantitative determination of organic compounds or elements.

A lot of samples can be determined fast and comfortably via ready-to-use test kits.

In food industries and agriculture the SPECORD^® PLUS is applied in quality control in the broadest sense. This includes the supervision and observation in cultivating and processing foods as well as the determination of ingredients, e.g.:

• enzyme kinetics for the analysis of ingredients as alcohol, glucose or citric acid,
• quantitative analysis for the determination of chemical elements or compounds as Calcium, Phosphate and Nitrat
